Product Manual
• | Versatile: The Boulder 200 can be used to power the Goal Zero Powerstations. For the amount of Watts it produces, it will be most effective with the Yeti 1000/X, Yeti 1250, Yeti 1400, Yeti 1500X, Yeti 3000/X and Yeti 6000X Power Packs |
• | Carrying Case: Features Included protective canvas bag for easy carrying and storage! |
• | Optimal Placement: Collapsible kickstands mean no more leaning your Boulder Solar Panel against a rock, tree, or tent. Strong rubber corner protection leaves no sharp edges to catch. |
• | Long Lasting: Built with a lightweight, durable aluminum frame and tempered glass. Great panels for semi-permanent or permanent installations. |
• | Compatible: Panel comes standard with High Power Port Output cable for Charging and Chaining. |
• | Rugged Design: The Boulder 200 Briefcase is waterproof and rugged terrain resistant. Create power on the Go with the Boulder 200 Briefcase Solar Panel. |
• | Location: It delivers up to 200 Watts of power, but the angle of the panels and the cloud coverage can impact its performance. Avoid the shade. It will not work indoors. |
• | Operation Tips: The solar panel does not hold a charge. It produces power when it is exposed to sunlight. You can store the power it produces in a portable recharger. |

Ease of use plus portability
November 10, 2019
I bought four of these to go with a Yeti 3000 as back-up in case of California power shutdowns. Since I rent my house, this set-up is great and along with a small 700W propane generator will power my fridge and freezer for weeks. As a bonus, I can take the whole thing along with me on camping trips.
I can set-up these panels solo within fifteen minutes and have them connected to my Yeti in a couple of minutes more. 800W of panels were feeding about 500W of power to my Yeti at about 1:30 PM in late October just east of Oakland, California. The stand is of good quality, but I with they'd put rubber feet on them as they kind of sink when used on grass.
The panels seem to be well constructed, but two of them were missing one of two nut and bolt pairs that hold the bracket that closes the panels in place. I contacted Goal Zero support and they've mailed me a couple of replacements. They should be easy for me to install myself.

Ok, so the solar panel does not store power. It stores to a portable charger? Is the Yeti 1400 the portable charger? (Sorry, I know very much nothing about these things.)
1 Answer
Correct, the Solar Panel receives and transfers (does not store) the power to the Yeti 1400 Lithium Power Pack (http://www.earthtechproducts.com/goal-zero-yeti-1400-lithium.html). Please let us know if you have any other questions.
