So far so great!
At first I was a bit hesitant about getting into a solar generator not knowing about it and all but after speaking a few times with the reps I definitely felt confident about making the purchase. They basically need to know what items you are looking to run and some basic info on the wattage etc and they will size up the system accordingly. Installation was pretty straight forward for me but I got a little fancy and had the powerhub unit output to a sub panel so I could power particular outlets around the house. So far I have been running the system for a good month now and it runs my fridge, 2 tvs, microwave, c couple of lamps and computer. Im very happy with it so far. I definitely recommend this system for anyone who is looking for some back up power instead of a gas generator. I use the system to save some money on my electric bill. I will add some updates here if I notice any issues but so far so good!
ProsBatteries go inside the battery box everything is neat

Your add says nothing about mountain hardware for the solar panels? Is any included? How about wiriing harnesses?
The only mounting options available for purchase are the Optional Solar Panel Mounting Brackets, shown in the pull down add on menu. These are simple Z-brackets used for basic mounting. We do not carry wiring harnesses, but any additional items can be purchased at your local hardware or electrical supply store. Thank you for your inquiry!

Once installed is it permanent? For example, if I moved, would it be possible to uninstall and reinstall in the new location? Also, is there an issue if the roof has to be replaced (assuming that's where you install it)?
The solar panel installation does not have to be permanent. You can remove the solar panels and easily reinstall them in a new location. Typically, the most common mounting location is the roof of a home, cabin or RV. Thank you for your inquiry!

How big can this system scale? The documentation says you can add 5 panels to the basic 5 panel system for 2 times the power. But since the kit says it can handle 1800 Watts, is it possible to add 2 5 panel expansion kits?
With this particular kit with the 500 watts of solar, you can add (2) 5 panel expansion kits (See the green "Add More Power" tab above) giving you a total of 1500 watts of solar. If you have any additional questions feel free to contact us at 877-548-3387. Thank you.
