Solar light is well made and beautiful.

I love the Solar light portion of this fixture and the glow which has a green cast due to the green in the stained glass. However the instructions for affixing the collar to attach it to the post was hard to follow and the screws to attach it with should have been black to blend with the collar rather than silver which totally cheapened the look. I painted the screw heads black and it looked finished. Also, it would be nice to receive at least an extra screw or two.

The plastic isn't the best quality but it works. They are a good brightness at night, just the right amount. Would recommend.

I ordered two of the Wellington Solar Post Cap Light Tiffany Style and our family is more than happy with the way they light up and look on our posts on either side of the front door. They are absolutely gorgeous and I plan to order more now that I have had the pleasure of seeing how great they accent my yard. This is my second order of products from EarthTech. My products arrived in a reasonable time and I received an email asking if the post lights were what I expected and to please contact them if there was a problem.
ProsA company that cares about pleasing their customers.

These Tiffany-style post cap lights are terrific. They're well-made and very easy to install. The light they create is quite subtle. I have one on a fence post and two others on the top of a decorative brick wall, outlining my property lines. The beautiful glass is colorful both by day and when illuminated by night. And, the best part is they collect a charge that's sufficient enough to remain ON all night long!

is too small, will the adapter adjust the 5x5 so it will fit securely?
That size post is indeed not typical. Our post caps will Not fit that size post properly (4 1/4" x 4 1/4"). Thank you for your inquiry!

I want to use this as an indoor landing post cap, so it will light up the landing area. There are two doors with windows close by, within 3'. Would that provide enough light to recharge the batteries? If not, is there something else that might work?
These fixtures require direct sunlight, not daylight. I would not recommend solar fixtures for an enclosed area. Thank you for your inquiry!

Does the light shine only thru the glass, or does some of it shine down towards the deck?
The Wellington Solar Post Cap Light's LEDs are designed to emit ambient light outwards. They may shine enough to illuminate a short area downward, but they are not designed with downward facing LEDs. The Windsor for example, is designed in this fashion:

The Wellington Solar Post Cap Light is designed to fit over an existing 5" x 5", 4" x 4" or 3.5" x 3.5" square post. It will not fit over a 4" x 6" inch post. Thank you for your inquiry!

What are the overall dimensions of this post cap light? I have a 4x4 wood post, open on three sides. One side has a picket nailed into a standard "2x4" rail. Will this fit within this spacing? (see image attached)
The Wellington Solar Post Cap Light Tiffany Style dimensions are 6.25" x 6.25" at its widest point. However, it looks like the 4" x 4" post is flush with the rail. You would need a raised post to secure the light to, or it would sit loose on top. Thank you for your inquiry!
