The post cap is great and looks great! My disappointment is the length of time it stays lite. We live on a dark street and my house is very dark and hard to see at night, hence the need for these. Sometimes they stay lite for hours and sometimes for only an hour. I understand the "solar" part and needing the sun, but I thought the idea of the battery was to activate when there wasn't enough solar power.
ProsLooks great, easy to install
ConsLength of time for the lighting to stay on
Love them: Kingsbridge Black Dual Lighted Solar Post Cap Lights!
November 18, 2020
These Kingsbridge post lights that we used on our newly refurbished sundeck provide plenty of light. They are made of beautiful, durable aluminum and NOT plastic as so many of these lights are. The "solar" panel is also made of strong material (possibly glass) and NOT made of "Lowes" plastic panel as are my solar tree lights that I purchased there. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely would buy these again. (Too bad I spent a fortune on my tree lights with PLASTIC solar panels at Lowes, I would have looked for something in the Kingsbridge line. I was not aware that aluminum products were still in existence.) Thank you for such an excellent product. By the way, installation was a snap! Predrilled small hole in posts and followed up with the two screws provided. There were a few of the small screw covers that were missing from two of the packages but I have requested replacements from Classy Caps, the manufacturer.
ProsA total of 4 post bases of varying sizes are provided for each light. The 4 x 4" post base is preattached to the light. I had 3 or 4 of my posts that were large and the largest base in the set fit perfectly. It is simple to switch to the new base by gently removing the light string from the 4 x 4 base and restringing in one of the larger bases. Directions are provided.

Beautiful when they light up.

The only problem is they don’t stay on not more than 5hours maybe because it’s been cloudy since I installed them.
Beautiful deck lights
October 26, 2020
Purchased (16) of these Solar Post cap lights for our new deck. They look really classy and give off the right amount of light without being too dim or too bright. Very nice ambiance at night. Installation was relatively easy, but need to be careful and take your time. Predrill holes to prevent wood from splitting when installing screws.
ProsLook great! Cast aluminum housing feels substantial and should be durable.
Multiple bases (total of 4) for different post sizes come with each light. Pre-installed base is 3.5"x3.5".
ConsIt would be nice if the lights had an adjustable timer so that I could set the duration of how long they stay on. As it is, they stay on most of the night until the battery drains down.
