Can the motion sensor be turned off and the light on at full brightness? how does the light stay on when triggered by sensor?

No, the motion sensor cannot be turned off. Every night up to the first 4 hours the light will stay on full brightness with no motion sensing. Motion sensor will start to work after that fix brightness period. Thank you for your inquiry!
