Secure and tight packaging of lamp provided safety from breakage or damage. The hardest part for the electrician was disconnecting the existing hardwired lamp from post. For safety I highly recommended using a qualified electrician. My lamp was install in early morning hours so had the advantage of solar charging for a good 9 hours before dusk started, I set it on low. As I checked throughout the evening there was a consistent glow and, as I’m an early riser, straight thru to daylight. I’ve had my lamp for almost two weeks at this point and am happy I made the changeover. My hardwired lamp was quite old and upon opening found it had a high voltage commercial bulb so this is where I hope it translates into energy savings.

Beautiful and a perfect solution to outside lighting without the hassle of running underground power. We had problems getting the light to work at first, tried everything and then FINALLY, my husband decided to check it out component by component using his electrician testers. Turns out the bulb had become loose in shipping. Hate to admit we did not think of that first. Works great now.
