And when you need an emergency flashlight, simply unscrew the EmergiBulb and extend the base and lock the stem. Switch it on and you'll have a portable LED flashlight. The light bulb extends from 4.25" to 5.5" for easy handling.

The EmergiBulb has three stages or modes which control the use of energy within the LED bulb. The first one is for operation as a standard light bulb on AC power. The second stage is for DC mode which is the setting used for the emergency backup flashlight. The third one is for a quick charge while on AC power so it is ready for emergency use. All of these modes can be easily switched on/off via a simple flick on the bulb itself. The EmergiBulb is also completely recyclable and is virtually maintenance free.

Q: How do I install it into my home's light socket? Do I need any special tools?
A: Simply screw it into your standard light socket and turn it on. If your power goes out, slide the switch (to DC mode) on the bulb to turn it on. It produces the light output of a 60W incandescent.
Q: When activated as a flashlight, does it require any batteries?
A: No need for any other batteries. It is solely powered by an internal lithium ion battery which will run for 6+ hours.
Q: How long will the backup power last? How do I recharge after?
A: It will run for 6+ hours. For recharging, just switch it to “OFF” mode for a quick charge while on AC power so it is ready for emergency use.
Q: If I remove the Emergibulb from the socket, won't I get shocked?
