from Arlington, VA asked:
October 25, 2016
can the solar panel for the top of the piling be mounted on the side a wall/piling and still be effective? Will it get enough sunlight to power the battery? Thank you. Lea McGovern
We don’t recommend this mounting application. Since the sun angle changes during the winter-summer season, it’s hard to say how the fixture will perform year round. However, with the understanding that the performance will be affected, you can mount the fixture on a side application if required. Thank you for your inquiry!

Can this be mounted facing upward, rather than downward, to accent something above the light? Will it remain waterproof in this orientation?
The Solar Piling Down Light with Ultra High intensity LED cannot be mounted upside down. It will not remain waterproof if mounted in this fashion. Thank you for your inquiry!
