The powermonkey extreme does exactly what it says it does, the batter holds a lot of charge and recharges my phone from low battery to full at minimum 3 times, the solar panels work very well and the mains charger is excellent. Overall the entire system seems very durable and able to withstand at least moderate punishment. Very satisfied, good setup for the price.
ProsLightweight, durable, simple to use
ConsCarrying case is soft, would like a hardshell case, some of the dust covers could fit better
Impressive for a small, mobile unit.

From what I've done so far with my powermonkey extreme solar charger and battery, my estimates for solar charging time to fully recharge the battery is about 8.5 hrs when in direct sunlight outside (because for some reason it didn't seem to collect much from behind a window, thus not recommended). That's 4% in what I believe was 20-30 mins input from the solar. The power generating process is slower than the output rate. The solar is 5v DC in at 800mA, and 5V 2A USB out / 12V 0.8mA DC. Don't expect solar to charge the battery while powering a device with it. It will just maintain the energy already in the battery.
It will charge an iPhone 6s approx. 5 times and pretty fast too. Approx. 12% in 5min / full charge in about 42min. Im not sure how accurate the power display is. It seems to hang at 99% for quite a while before the light turns green. (Note: It will never read 100%). 100% is the green light.
It's very nice though. The solar panels are weather proof ( non sealing USB cover), and the battery is waterproof (when the ends are on securely). Shock resistant (it's all rubber coated), the solar system gives an audible and visual assist to determine its operating efficiency. High pitch low volume squeals heard at higher pitch when in low efficiency and lower pitch to no sound when operating efficiently. There is an LED on the lower solar face that illuminates at lower to higher brightness depending on how much energy is being collected.
ProsI'm glad I bought it. So far.
ConsDoesn't collect well from behind a window.
Not sure about the waterproof and weather proof claims. I would ask someone willing to destroy their unit in a test run.
