How do these lights shut off for indoor winter storage?
For these dock lights, you can turn these off by twisting off the top portion and upon twisting the top cap off you will find a on/off switch. During the winter, it is important to keep the top portion of the fixture which houses the solar panel and battery near or next to a window so it receives sunlight. If you do not allow the battery to maintain a charge for several months, next spring/summer when you attempt to use the fixture again it will not work for you. Thank you for your inquiry!

how do they mount is there a post or screw to dock
This light is used primarily on a post. However, to mount on a flat surface, the bottom screw of the light can be removed, and the light simply mounted through that area. Thank you for your inquiry!

Why is this product rated for fresh water? My dock is on a salt water bay. They would be mounted abou 6 feet above the water. Could be salt water spray during a storm I suppose. Please advise.
This product is designed for fresh water applications. We do not recommend installing this fixture in a salt water environment. Thank you for your inquiry!
