Q: How do I charge this radio with flashlight up?
A: Freeplay’s patented self-charge technology means excellent reliability. You can either use the crank, the solar panels or an external USB cord (not included) to charge the Companion for radio and LED use. It would take approx. 30 minutes to fully charge the radio. In direct sunlight the Companion will charge itself and play continuously. For charging a phone, you can only use the crank.
Q: Will the radio remain charged for a long period of time?
A: A 1-minute wind gives you 20 minutes of radio listening at normal volume, or 30 minutes of light, and you can wind some more at any time for as much play time / shine time as you want. An LED charge level indicator tells you the best speed to wind. A fully charged device would last approximately 12 hours of play time (depending on volume), or 16 hours of shine time.
Q: What cell phones are compatible with this solar device?
A: The Companion Radio will charge Nokia Phones only.
