These lights look beautiful and are working fine. We had a problem installing as the threads didn't match up to the unit and the wall mount. Earthtech was very responsive to the problem and got new wall mounts sent out very quickly. The first one worked easily and everything matched up on the first try. The second one had to be worked just a little bit in order for it to fit. In all, I am happy with the lights and service provided and would order again.

Pros

These look great next to my garage door and provide plenty of light on the driveway. Living in Arizona does help as most days have plenty of sun to charge the solar panels. I selected these because I didn't have any electrical going to the outside of my garage and I didn't want to hire an electrician to have to run wiring. This was a great alternative and a less expensive option.

Cons

Slight problem with the threading on the unit. But, Customer service was great in resolving the problem. Delayed the install by a week.

Better than Expected

We installed our lamp on a pole and placed it out in the backyard to light up the area around our hot tub. It came on the first night and stayed on all night. Has been working great ever since. We live in Arizona so that probably has a lot to do with the awesome performance.

What are the dimensions of the base ?

The base for model SML556 is hexagonal and measures 5-1/2 from flat to flat, 6-3/16 from point to point. The mounting holes are 4-3/4" from center to center. Thank you for your inquiry!
